The Element of
Strength
Titanium · Tungsten · Steel
Every Wolnosia talisman of strength is set in unyielding metal — titanium, tungsten, steel. Metals that do not bend.
Our strength has a home: the Prudential building in Warszawa. Completed in 1934 and rising sixteen storeys, it was the tallest building in Poland and among the tallest in Europe — the country’s first true skyscraper, raised on a steel skeleton engineered by Stefan Bryła, a pioneer of welded steel construction.
When war came, the tower stood at the heart of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising. It was shelled without mercy — struck even by a two-tonne round from one of the largest siege mortars ever built. Its façade was torn away and its floors gutted, and still the steel frame held. It leaned, but it would not fall. From its heights the insurgents raised the Polish flag for the whole city to see.
Rebuilt after the war and reborn today as Hotel Warszawa, it endures — proof that true strength is not the absence of damage, but the refusal to collapse.
That is the strength we forge into every piece: metal to hold onto when the world tries to break you.
